Never in our wildest dreams did it occur to us that one day we might own a clothing store but when the opportunity arose to acquire Abrahams in late 2015, JAC & I thought it would be interesting to start a new venture & so began our adventure…
We have been a close-knit team right from the start; with JAC’s 20 years’ experience as a Management Consultant & mine as an award-winning fashion designer & garden designer, we thought we might have the right foundation to build a successful business & three years on we appear to be doing just that…
Our philosophy has always been to make Abrahams a destination ‘Lifestyle’ Store…
As someone who has always sought ‘the unusual’ – be it distinctive clothing, quirky jewellery or colourful & fun objects for our home, I quickly realised that I wanted to replicate ‘my style’ within Abrahams & it would be ‘that’ which set us apart from so many predictable & uninspiring High Street stores up & down the country!
Right from the beginning, our challenge has been to source & select exciting small or new labels & ranges that are hard to find (if at all) in the UK. Driven by this constant search both at home & through frequent travels abroad, our aim is to find & deliver the next exciting product or brand to our growing band of loyal followers.
Based in the ancient & beautiful market town of Kirkby Lonsdale & with an enviable position in the old Market Square, Abrahams could be described as the heart of the town.
Our small shop windows belie what can be found within…
Not only do we have fabulous men’s & women’s clothing, we also offer a curated range of accessories, jewellery, skincare, cosmetics & grooming products all under one roof. We also like to add in unpredictable homeware & gift items each season. The store is always bright, vibrant & above all, colourful – we all love colour at Abrahams!
Our displays & windows are constantly changing & commented on for their originality & quirkiness. We love to hear what our customers think of our efforts & always listen to their suggestions & recommendations for new products or ranges.
We don’t think there is any other store that offers such a feel-good factor anywhere.
We like to think we are a family at Abrahams. Although we might not all be related, Georgina, Francesca, Caroline, Emma, JAC & I all share a love of beautiful & unusual things.
Our combined experiences of dealing with specific customer requests & knowledge of our extensive stock allow us to make your visit to us a special & memorable experience.

As we continue to develop our NEW website, we would like to encourage you to regularly visit the store to see our ever-changing ranges although we know that this is not always possible. With this in mind, we aim to showcase our gorgeous brands on our website to allow you to see our latest finds & to keep you up-to-date with any promotions & events.
