Here we offer lightweight metal, decorative enamel combined with inspirational design, served on a plate! This Pink Butterfly pattern plate is just what you need for al fresco occasions or within the home, maybe to serve dessert or for afternoon teas.

Designed in Germany, most likely by Joseph Zachenberger (1732-1802) in around 1760 for the Nymphenburg Porcelain Factory this design was probably made for the court of Duke Maximillian III Joseph of Bavaria. Elector of the Holy Roman Empire. Situated just outside of Munich, you can find his summer residence the Nymphenburg Palace, which provides a Bavarian rival to the Palace of Versailles.

The original design features various flora and butterflies with additional gilding and is part of the V&A collection, perhaps the foremost interior design repository in the world, you can learn more about the V&A here.
