The Quest Continues…
Although we have been somewhat remiss in posting here lately, it is not because we’ve been sitting back & watching the seasons change. Far from it!…
Running a successful store and ensuring it remains so, requires a constant re-evaluation of what we sell, what’s been successful and what hasn’t (hopefully not much!). As the main buyer, Josie understands that the store must always look fresh & exciting to all our visitors but especially to our growing band of extremely loyal customers; some of whom visit us every week!
Over the last few months, Josie has been ceaseless on her quest to find unusual and desirable goodies. Happily, she appears to have the uncanny knack of sourcing what customers want…
Here are just a few of the gorgeous new things we have in store now:
MURANO GLASS
By its very nature, being produced entirely by hand by master glassmakers, Murano glass has always been a premium and expensive product. However, Josie has managed to find a range of glass tumblers that are both beautiful and affordable. We have a selection of 6 different semi-transparent colours. Each one is a work of art, slightly different in size, colour & density illustrating the unique characteristics of a handmade product. Priced at £22 each, these glasses make an excellent gift as well as bringing a touch of refinement and colour to your table!
HANDMADE BELTS
Due to the success of our colourful unisex Polo belts, we decided to expand our range to include embroidered and beaded designs from both Peru and Guatemala. Inspired by traditional colourful floral and graphic patterns, these stunning creations are made by artisans under fair conditions, their skills being passed on from generation to generation. It is wonderful to see these glorious traditions being translated into contemporary fashion accessories which are accessible to all that appreciate them. Each belt is unique and priced at £75 (embroidered) and £110 (beaded).
CANNONBURY PRESS CARDS
Customers love our eclectic range of greeting cards because they offer something different from the ‘run of the mill’ selections found in most gift shops. This year we have added an unusual selection from Canonbury Press. Award-winning London based photographer, Alexandra Simms founded the company in 2022. Her images are inspired by botanical illustrations & English porcelain which she has turned into a collection of distinctive fine stationery and cards. Alex’s cards are £4.50 each, they are eco-friendly, handmade and not available on Amazon!
We hope you like our selection of new products as much as we do! We intend to share our latest additions here and far more frequently than before so please keep dipping back in for updates!
Best wishes,
Abrahams XX
