The Captain Fawcett Safety Razor Leather Case makes a clear statement about its owner; efficient, prepared and tidy. The leather case specifically made for a Captain Fawcett Razor protects the blade and mounting assembly whilst in transit. There is nothing worse than finding a damaged or blunt blade when arriving at your destination, not to mention the confidence sapping impact of being unable to shave when you want to.

Gillette Razor Design
KC Gillette Razor – US Patent 775134

According to Jackson Spielvogel’s book on World History the first razors were in use in around 18,000 BC. These were made of bronze or obsidian and worked to a point (though not a very fine one) although it is unlikely that any had a natty leather case in which to keep them. We recommend that for the discerning gentleman a more up to date approach would be the Safety Razor.

The first design for a safety razor came from Jean-Jacques Perret in the 1760s but it was King Camp Gillette who launched his revolutionary safety razor with disposable blades at the start of the 20th century. The innovative business model was, perhaps, almost as significant as the product. The Captain Fawcett Safety Razor uses a very modern Gillette Mach 3 blade, the direct inheritor of Gillette’s original safety razor blade and gives an excellent close shave. Dare we say this is cutting edge technology .
